Two new Judicial Appoinments
On September 30, 2026, Governor Desantis appointed Mr. E. Michael Isaak of Tampa to the Hillsborough County Court. Mr. Isaak worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Seminole County State Attorney’s office in the 18th Circuit for 5 years until 1997. Since then, he has been in private practice representing clients in criminal defense and personal injury cases.
On October 6, 2026, Governor Desantis appointed Mr. Gary Ellis to the Highlands County Court. Ellis serves as an Assistant State Attorney in Highlands County prior to his appointment.
