County Court Judge Jared Smith Appointed to 13th Judicial Circuit Bench
On September 24, 2019, Governor Ron DeSantis announced the appointment of Jared Smith to the Thirteenth Circuit Court. The Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court serves Hillsborough County.
Smith, 44, of Lutz, Florida, has served as a Hillsborough County Judge since March of 2017. He previously served as a partner at Rumberger, Kirk and Caldwell as well as a Captain in the Air Force. He received his bachelor’s degree from Fort Hays State University and his law degree from Washburn University School of Law. Smith fills the vacancy created by the confirmation of Judge Tom Barber.
